Lord of Life Lutheran Church

Westfield, Indiana

Originally envisioned as an anchor to the Andover North planned unit development, this growing church sought a long-term vision for its new 25-acre site to make it an integral part of the community. CONTEXT collaborated with entheos Architects to create a welcoming place, including trails and recreation amenities that reach out to connect with its neighbors.

Site design challenges included the need for a creative storm water management approach, municipal infrastructure requirements in a developing area of town, and a limited budget. The first phase of site development establishes vehicular access and parking, pedestrian circulation, drainage and utility infrastructure and initial landscape development. Site construction began in September 2007, and the Phase 1 facility is scheduled to open later this year.
