CONTEXT teamed with Hannum, Wagle, and Cline Engineering to develop this 5-year Parks Master Plan with an emphasis on the value of the City’s parks to the prosperity of its community, economy and natural environment. A thorough analysis of the existing parks, meetings with Parks Department staff and community stakeholders, as well as input from the public was influential to the planning process.
The team generated concept plans for the City’s most crucial parks and developed short and long-term goals and objectives to guide the Parks Department in the next five years. Proposed iniatives address management practices, policies, maintenance protocols, programming and staffing needs in order to improve the value of the parks while minimizing operations costs.
