Construction begins in Madison for Vita Plus

October 2, 2008

landscape planVita Plus, a regional feed supplier and agribusiness consulting corporation, broke ground today on an expansion of its employee parking area. Construction began with the demolition of a ramshackle auto service station that has been long abandoned and is structurally unsound. City of Madison planning staff saw this project as an opportunity to enhance the corner of one of its prominent intersections and provide a viewshed into the site of the long-standing industrial anchor. The Renschler Company, who designed and built the existing headquarters facility, commissioned CONTEXT to help respond to the City’s request for a “superior landscape” befitting the location. The design solution demonstrates the corporation’s commitment to a quality environment and captures the spirit of local industry by incorporating limestone blocks recycled locally from a demolished railroad bridge.

MADISON, WI – Construction for a newly expanded parking lot for Vita Plus began with razing and removal of a vacant gas station. Vita Plus owner Bob Tramberg was so anxious to see the existing gas station go that he participated in the demolition! Read the whole story at renschler.com...
