Glendale Town Center throws a block partyJuly 27, 2008
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood Association hoped the project would encourage area residents to shop locally, said Victoria Pardue-Edwards, a zone delegate for the association. “I think having a Target store here is going to help our local economy, instead of (people) driving out to other counties,” Pardue-Edwards said. Organizers said they were happy with the high turnout. About 1,000 people had been expected to attend, but there were more than 500 visitors in just the first hour, Sullivan said. Saturday‘s party activities started at 2 p.m. and continued until 10 p.m. Meagan Ingerson. ”Glendale has party to thank neighbors for their patience“ indystar.com July 27, 2008.
