Anson's New Schedule Builds MomentumJuly 10, 2006As earthwork, utilities and road improvements contintue to make progress, plans are in the works for some of Anson's first residential, retail and office buildings to break ground soon. CONTEXT has been an integral part of the planning and design process—from construction documentation to the development of architectural and site design guidelines. Here's what's happening in Anson now according to the IndyStar.com: Industrial: Duke has teamed up with former rival Browning Investments to jointly market the industrial component at Anson. Office: On the south side, next to the retail center, Duke has drawn plans for medical offices. The company already is in discussions with St. Vincent's Hospital and Witham Hospital to start construction on the first building early next year. Anson has space for three medical office buildings, apart from 20 acres dedicated to smaller office buildings. Construction on the office building will begin in 2007. Residential: Duke has found a builder for two apartment buildings: Flaherty & Collins. Each building will have 40 units and retail space, such as coffee shops, on the ground floor. Construction will begin late in the third quarter, around the same time as the 54 townhouses planned for the community. Duke officials said they are 60 days away from naming the builder for the townhouse project. – Madhusmita Bora.
