The 105-bed mental health facility, designed by Scholer Corporation, is Indiana's first to specialize in therapeutic healing. The entire 20+ acre site addresses the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors while enhancing the healing process through active and passive recreation. Every detail, from plant selection to planting bed edging, minimizes potential hazards yet contributes to a rich outdoor environment. The use of native plant species complies with LEED® Green Building Rating System™ standards for low water use. Originally engaged to refine site design and guide the development of the landscape and site furnishings, CONTEXT was further commissioned to provide comprehensive campus planning services to guide future development efforts.
