2002 INASLA Merit Award for Unbuilt Works
April 4, 1968—following the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Robert Kennedy addressed a gathering of area residents on what is now the site of Citizens Health Center. Today, a sculpture memorializing the event lies directly north of the site, within the adjacent King Park. Developed in collaboration with A2SO4 Architecture, this award-winning Master Plan seeks to integrate these three sites and their purposes into a campus-like setting of interconnected walkways, gathering areas, shared parking and ample green space.
