The vision for this new 60-acre park includes a balance between active and passive recreation with emphasis on the conservation of two existing wetlands, creation of a fishing pond, and the establishment of approximately twenty acres of prairie. CONTEXT was commissioned in September 2005 to develop the Master Plan as well as design and construction documents for Phase 1 to include a pond, fishing pier, wetland observation deck, trails, a dog park, and a pavilion. Construction will be completed later this year.
